The artwork “Motorboat, dream of kid” is inspired from the conversation with an indigenous boy who live by the sea. His dream is own a new motorboat as his cousin. However, I found a abandoned motorboat in his neighbour’s yard after the conversation. It reflects the emotional impact of facing the differences between his dream and mine. I have also observed that the people’s desire and superiority which projected to the object in the material world. Hence, I “collage” this experience and PE fabric. In the artwork, the fabric as the metaphor of the city’s “Shroud of Turin”; the image of object as the absence as a presence.
